Concrete Calculator

How do you figure the quantity of concrete?

  • Dimensions of the volume you wish to pour are measured in cubic feet and then converted to cubic yards.
  • 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet.

To calculate the volume of walls and flatwork, use the equation:

V = L x W x D / 27 ft3

Use the online calculation below to figure cubic yards for walls and flatwork.  All measurements should be entered in feet:

Length: ft.
Width: ft.
Depth: ft.
Volume in Cubic Yards = yd3
To calculate the volume of caissons or columns, use the equation:

V = 3.14 r2 x D / 27 ft3

Use the online calculation below to figure cubic yards for Caissons and Columns:

Diameter: ft.
Depth: ft.
Volume in Cubic Yards = yd3
